Nook - Simple Touch
Mon 20 June 2011 by HerbertThe Nook - Simple Touch is a no frills, basic e-reader, hooked up with the Barnes and Noble book store. Don't mistake this description as negative.
In Herbert's not-so-humble opinion, no frills is a key plus for eReaders. The focus of these devices is to be portable, legible and eliminate distraction from time better spent reading. The Nook accomplishes each of these nicely.
The key differentiator beyond the bookstore for the Nook - Simple Touch and Amazon's Kindle is the Nook's inclusion of a microSD slot. This can be a huge advantage for readers who already have access to eBook files and don't want to be tied to Amazon's library.
